Roland Dickey, Jr. is the Chief Executive Officer of Dickey’s Capital Group (DCG), the holding company of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. Dickey Jr runs the Dickey Family portfolio of businesses, which includes consumer retail products, food manufacturing (Sauce, Spice and Proteins), real estate holdings, and eight family-owned barbecue restaurants, as well as collaborates with Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants Inc. and Spark Hospitality Technology. He brought the company from 20 locations to more than 375 barbecue restaurants, within the brand's portfolio of over 800 restaurants across eight concepts.

Roalnd Dickey, Jr. co-authored the brand’s award-winning cookbook, “Behind the BBQ: Recipes, Cocktails & Tall Tales”, with his father, Roland Dickey, Sr. and his wife, Laura Rea Dickey in 2021. The second cookbook for the barbecue brand was named the winner of the Gold Award in the cookbook category for the 2022 Benjamin Franklin Awards, administered by the Independent Book Publishers Association, as well as taking home gold for the Hermes Creative Awards in the Publications Book category!
